Un abuelo tiene madalenas para repartir entre sus cuatro nietos. Al primero le da la mitad de las madalenas más media madalena. Al segundo, la mitad de las que le quedan más media madalena. Al tercero, la mitad de las madalenas restantes más media madalena. Al último le da las 5 que quedan. ¿Cuántas madalenas tenía el abuelo al principio?

A grandfather wants to distribute some muffins among his four grandchildren. He gives half of the muffins plus half muffin to the oldest one. Then, he gives half of the muffins left plus half muffin to the next grandchild. Afterwards, he gives half of the remaining muffins plus half muffin to the next one. Finally, he gives the 5 remaining muffins to the smallest grandchild. How many muffins did the grandfather have in the beginning?
